The Florida Higher Education Coordinating Council will meet in Tallahassee, Florida on Friday, June 22, 2018, at 9:00 a.m.

The Council has adopted a goal of 55% of Florida’s population ages 25 to 64 would attain a postsecondary certificate or degree by the year 2025.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss progress of the Statewide Attainment Initiative (Rise to 55) and to review a draft final report on grant funding for the project. The members will also elect a new chair and discuss further development of regional partnerships. Included also will be plans and programs to effectively communicate the importance of preparing our students to pursue and complete a postsecondary education, preparing them for the workforce and individual success. This meeting is a public meeting.
