Higher Education Coordinating Council To Meet October 26, 2010
TALLAHASSEE -- The newly created Higher Education Coordinating Council will meet on October 26, 2010 in Tallahassee.

The seven (7) member Council was established to identify unmet needs and to facilitate solutions to disputes regarding the creation of new degree programs and the establishment of new institutes, campuses, or centers. The purpose of the Council is to make recommendations to the Legislature, the State Board of Education, and the Board of Governors, State University System of Florida.
The Board of Governors is the constitutional body created by voters in 2002 to guide the State University System of Florida.
