Higher Education Coordinating Council Scheduled To Meet December 13, 2011
Meeting has been cancelled. HECC members have finalized their legislative report. A copy of the final report will be posted soon.
The Members of the Higher Education Coordinating Council will hold have scheduled a conference call meeting on December 13, 2011 to which all persons are invited to attend. The call in number will be posted at a date closer to December 13, 2011.
The purpose of the meeting, should such a meeting be necessary, is to finalize any last minute changes to the report due on December 31, 2011, as requested by the Florida Legislature.

The seven (7) member Council was established to identify unmet needs and to facilitate solutions to disputes regarding the creation of new degree programs and the establishment of new institutes, campuses, or centers. The Council's charge is to make recommendations to the Legislature, the State Board of Education, and the Board of Governors, State University System of Florida. The purpose of this meeting is to review the work of the Council's subcommittee recommendations and to continue to gather input from different sectors of higher education.
The Board of Governors is the constitutional body created by voters in 2002 to guide the State University System of Florida.
