Higher Education Coordinating Council Members will meet over lunch on May 2, 2012


Following the scheduled meeting on May 2, 2012, several members of the Higher Education Coordinating Council will meet with Rep. Bill Proctor over lunch.

A sandwich lunch for the members and Rep. Proctor will be held in the Conference Room on the 16th floor, in Room 1614.

The seven (7) member Council was established to identify unmet needs and to facilitate solutions to disputes regarding the creation of new degree programs and the establishment of new institutes, campuses, or centers. The Council's charge is to make recommendations to the Legislature, the State Board of Education, and the Board of Governors, State University System of Florida. The purpose of this meeting is to review the work of the Council's subcommittee recommendations and to continue to gather input from different sectors of higher education.

The Board of Governors is the constitutional body created by voters in 2002 to guide the State University System of Florida.
