Higher Education Coordinating Council Co Chairs To Meet by Conference Call
TALLAHASSEE – Jon Moyle, Sr. and Marshall Criser, III, co-chairs of the Higher Education Coordinating Council will meet for administrative purposes - by conference call - on Thursday, August 2, 2012. The two officers and Council Members will discuss plans and subjects for the HECC meeting to be held on August 14, 2012.

The seven (7) member Council was established to identify unmet needs and to facilitate solutions to disputes regarding the creation of new degree programs and the establishment of new institutes, campuses, or centers. The Council's charge is to make recommendations to the Legislature, the State Board of Education, and the Board of Governors, State University System of Florida. The purpose of this meeting is to review the work of the Council's subcommittee recommendations and to continue to gather input from different sectors of higher education.
The Board of Governors is the constitutional body created by voters in 2002 to guide the State University System of Florida.
